Asia

Traveling across Asia is a dive into color, tradition, and the rhythm of endless discovery.

Bamboos could die but the joints will stay, flowers could fall but the fragrance will linger – Shao Ye

No other place in the world offers the same alluring flair as Asia.

Discussing an entire continent is challenging, but Asia’s incredible diversity immediately comes to mind. You have underrated Christian enclaves in the West, and Muslim-dominated countries in the Middle East. From the dimmed flame of Zoroastrianism towards the Centre, to the Hindu, Buddhist and Shinto imprinting moving East. All bringing distinct historical landmarks and ancient traditions which still permeate daily lives.

Then you have incredible natural diversity. Enchanting sandy dunes coming out of One Thousand and One Nights, the mighty Himalayan range, the lush rainforests in the South-East, the Indian Ocean aquamarine reef, the fickle nature of a Japanese foliage.

And what’s more rewarding than the mouth-watering pleasure of indulging in the bold and unique local food?

Despite the radical differences, the common element that characterises any Asian country is the mesmerizing, tangy, colourful experience that will accompany you throughout its discovery. From West to East, this region of the world captivates the traveller with a sensory overload like nowhere else on the planet, whether it’s the nose-tickling spices, the intricate pieces of craftsmanship, the stunning nature, the unique cultures, or most likely a combination of all these things. And hey, it’s (largely) affordable too!

We visited Asia extensively both individually and together, and it has a special place into our hearts. Living in China for three months, visiting the fascinating Uzbekistan, trekking in the Cappadocia valleys, chilling on Thai beaches, enjoying the city life in Singapore.

We even planned to have our engagement at Mount Fuji, but Covid forced us to choose our London flat instead. But our Asian affair has just begun and we’re excited to keep exploring and being hypnotized by its irresistible charm.
